LIMITATIONS OF ANIMATIONS & LARGER GRAPHICS
Graphics as a general rule, get bigger in file size as they get more complex or bigger in physical size, but images can be compressed and sliced to make individual file sizes smaller. Animations on the other hand are a little more tricky. When deciding weather or not to use animations of any sort, think about the kind of content you will be asking to load at the same time, for example, keep your animations down to about 4 small animated gifs per page, and about 8 buttons max. Any more than this and you will start to notice the download times increasing, this is when we call on Flash.
